The controller has overheat protection and an automatic shut-off, so it won't keep heating indefinitely. As with any heated blanket, follow the safety leaflet, don't use it with a hot-water bottle, and don't use it for babies, young children or anyone who can't feel heat or work the controller.
How much does it cost to run?
Heated blankets use a small fraction of the power of an electric heater, so an evening's use costs pennies rather than pounds. The exact wattage is printed on the controller label if you'd like to work it out for your tariff.
Can I walk around in it?
Yes. It's worn like a hoodie, so it stays on when you get up. The heat works while the controller is plugged in. Unplug it to make a cup of tea and it still keeps you cosy as a thick, soft blanket.
